After I PAID ... IN FULL ... despite LATE delivery, I received a collections notice for $235 expedited service charge. I had agreed to the $235 charge for expedited delivery, but delivery was WAY LATE ... 5 weeks in fact! I have e-mails with NAAT in which they acknowledged the $235 wasn't due and they apologized for the late delivery and offered "couldn't load your vehicle because of the seller" excuses. The seller (a very squared away person) was perturbed that NAAT hadn't come to pick up the vehicle and hadn't returned his phone calls regarding pickup.
I received the collections notice 1 YEAR AFTER full payment upon delivery. These people are poor record-keepers at best, and THIEVES at worst.
I have impeccable credit, am leaving soon for a 2 week vacation, and now must leave this to my attorneys since North American hasn't returned my numerous messages.
DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH NORTH AMERICAN AUTO TRANSPORT. I suspect THEY ARE THIEVES who will damage PAYING CUSTOMERS' credit unless you employ attorneys to head them off.
Call me at 209-200-2520 and I'll refer you to excellent (and expensive) legal counsel if you know your case against NAAT is a slam-dunk, which most here appear to be. In my case, NAAT will be paying PUNITIVE DAMAGES plus ATTY FEES and my credit will not be compromised. AVOID NORTH AMERICAN AUTO TRANSPORT.
