Unprofessional and unreliable

After reviewing a number of auto transport companies, we contacted OnTrackAuto. They gave us a quote of $1, 095 ( 95$ deposit ) to transport a car from east coast to west. The pick up date was scheduled for Aug. 16th ( give or take a day for grace period ).
We hadn't heard form them by late afternoon on Aug. 16th. We called them, and we were informed that they had let a dispatcher go a few days ago for various reasons, one of which being that he was giving lower than reasonable quotes.

They said the cost to ship the car would be $300+ more than the original quote, but they would refund us the 95$ deposit.

That deposit was to ensure our business with them, yet the just left us hanging. WE had to call THEM the DAY OF pick up. Then we were informed that one of their staff made a mistake, and the car was not only not getting picked up, but the price would be sufficiently more.

This is not an easy service to provide, I know. It also is not easy to find someone to trust moving your personal, expensive, property across the country. It takes time and planning on both ends.

We lost weeks of time that could've been spent looking at getting the car transported. I can't believe they didn't call us as soon as the mis-quote was noticed, once the guy was let go, or even on the scheduled day of pick up! Not only that, but when I spoke with Ronald, he had no solution to offer to try and make this right. If one of my staff makes a mistake, I make right by the client to ensure the faith and trust they put in my business, and the service that was promised.

I got a quote of $1100 from another transport, and asked Ronald if he would keep the deposit, and match the quote. He replied " I am not going to pay out of my pocket to get you your car".

Offering any solution would've sufficed. I was expecting my car picked up today, delivered next week. Now, we have to start all over again. Very unprofessional and unreliable.
