Dear Mr. Yakes,
This is Jhoana, It was nice to speak to you on wednesday, 28th and a second time on Thursday 29th. We apologies for any miscommunications on the part of our transport specialist. Your feedback is noted and we will work on communicating better. As discussed, we are sincerely sorry that you think we were not being up front honest and whenever you do decide to transport your vehicle I hope you take me up on my offer to transport your vehicle. If so we will credit you the reservation payment.
After speaking to you, the agent and doing a thorough review. In our opinion, the transport specialist was very professional and tried to be honest from the 1st interaction to the last. We did see two opportunities for learning and will coach our specialist more on A) doing a better job in setting clients expectation and B) explaining to 1st time shippers what a quote is. I will elaborate on these two below:
1) Doing a better job in setting clients expectation, Your specialist got the pick up and delivery details on 03/26/18 at 4:52 pm. However we did not received the signed authorisation for us to work until the next day 3/27/2018. 24 hours after, we got a call asking us for the drivers details for your pick up. This is a area where our specialist can do a better job explaining that only with the signed authorisation to work can we lift a finger. Additionally, they can do a better job explaining that a 24 hour turnaround from your origin Las Vegas, NV 89178 to your destination North Branch, MI 48461 was unrealistic expectations.
2) Explain what is a quote as it related to transporting vehicles.
You mentioned that you asked your specialist if the quote can go higher. Our review showed the specialist explaining under no circumstances after dispatching your vehicle the final price can be changed by us nor the driver-THIS IS TRUE. He went on to explain, this is a quote that based on what he is seeing on the national boards and using other trade tools that this price will get the job done. He then explained that when he confirm a driver he will present all the information to you for approval.
You said, your question to our specialist was “is there any chance or is there any possibility that this quote can go higher than the quoted amount” you said you repeatedly asked him because you wanted to know “under no circumstances his quote can go higher that what it is”. Sir with 20/20 vision, I can see you wanted him to guarantee his quote was the final price. He was trying to guarantee you that after dispatch the final price can not be changed again(by us nor the driver) and before dispatching(locking in spot on truck) you would have the opportunity to approve the final price.
To address your review:
You said “Fished me in with bait, I was given a price,........” My understanding of this is, we knowingly give you a very low price with the intention of changing the price on you. Sir, we strongly disagree. We quoted you the market rate based on the best information available.
You said” I asked repeatedly if any hidden fees or up charge over price quoted, was told no, never.” My understanding is, you are saying we intentionally, left our insurance fees or taxes. This also we disagree with. We only give quote, ALL INCLUSIVE PRICES.
You said “ Wrong, Wrong, tried to hit me for more money after they located a truck for transport Not very honest on their part.”
You called less than 24 hours after booking for a delivery between Flint Michigan and the Canadian border. The only driver that was interested in doing it so far, presented 2 options 1 to meet him at Flint,MI or he can take it to your door for 8%more than our quoted price. We called you and clearly stated we can do 1) continue searching for driver at quoted price or 2) we can dispatch (secure this spot) to this driver for 8% more than our quoted price.
You said “ Very Disappointed in the service” Again, we apologize for our transport specialist miscommunications, we will coach him on this and use it as a learning opportunity. Thank you for pointing it out.
