I've had 20+ vehicles shipped to and from me nationwide in the past.
After learning that the transport company I traditionally used had no way of delivering a vehicle from Washington state to me I spoke with Anthony Alexander of Paragon Transport.

Delivery cost for my 04 Saleen Mustang from Tacoma, Washington to Houston, Texas (2400 miles) from Paragon Transport was only $100 more than I paid 2 years ago for delivery of my 03 Saleen Mustang from Charlotte, North Carolina to Houston, Texas (1100 miles.)

Furthermore, assuming an average driving speed of 60mph (including stops) and an average fuel economy of 20mpg over the 2400 mile trip home, and a $3.50/gal fuel cost added to a $200 one-way plane ticket, I figured it would cost me only $470 more to have them deliver the car than for me to put an additional (an unnecessary) 2400 miles on the car during a 40-hour drive, while not factoring in the possibilities of hitting anything in the road, road construction slowdowns, tickets, fatigue, etc.

Anthony Alexander gave me his cell number along with the driver's cell number. We all kept in contact daily as updates to where the car was.

All in all, it doesn't pay to go get a car yourself.
And Paragon Transport did it at less than half the price that I've been content to pay.

From now on I will be using Paragon Transport exclusively as long as they can make the delivery!
