After receiving COUNTLESS emails of quotes from a ton of carriers, I chose Patriot to transport a used car purchased on line from FLA to PA. This is not the first time I used a carrier and wanted to avoid the mistakes I made with my first transport. My prior experience with another company included a 3 week transport time, carrier broke down twice in route, actually stayed at a service station awaiting parts, there was terrible communication, driver asked me to pay cash upon arrival because he ran out of gas and then actually did run out of gas and I picked up my vehicle on a dark road at 11PM!
Dealling with Patriot was everything I wanted in a carrier. I was particularly happy with the initial phone contact and was not repeatedly hounded for a response. I received a reasonable quote, was informed of the pick-up time window and it's intended date of arrival. I received a call letting me know the status of the driver and the driver called me the morning of the delivery and again when he was 1/2 hour from my house.
Driver was very considerate and actually parked down the street and drove the vehicle to my door (in an effort to avoid a large truck coming into a residential street)
I was VERY happy with this experience.
Being a female I felt that I was inquring into a "male oriented" field and was very cautious not to be taken. I know that this business is VERY competitive as I am still receiving email of persons wanting to transport me vehicle, despite my contacting them telling them I had already secured transportation.
Patriott had a good write up in BBB, a 5 star reputation and good reviews so I stuckwith my original decision, despite some lower quotes.
I highly recommend them and would use them again.
