Moving across the country to unfamiliar surroundings is totally stressful, to say the least! Having a transporter move the car was the best decision we made, alleviating some of the stress. Of course, not knowing what to expect from the "brokers" was a rude awakening. I got quotes ranging from $700.00 to Gilberts - $1188.00. He explained the reasoning-the drivers have to be enticed; plus the route is one that is less traveled. Being in sales, I thoroughly agree with the philosophy that you get what you pay for! Plus, his honesty is a HUGE plus. Be straight upfront....and Gilbert was. The driver and transport company was wonderful; keeping me posted every step of the way...and even picked us up at the airport with the car. Yes, if we EVER do a move again and take the car, we will DEFINITELY use Philam.
