I especially appreciate that Gilbert explained the behind-the-scenes process to me, including the post-and-bid process between brokers and movers. He explained which aspects of the process were negotiable - for instance, I saved money and facilitated finding a driver by agreeing to take the bus from my new home in Madison down to Chicago to meet the driver.

Gilbert also explained how some brokers will low-ball their estimates even though they know that it is actually very unlikely that any mover will bid on the job. (It is only you time that they waste!)

The car arrived in good shape and the price was reasonable. Over all, it was an educational and painless experience.
