Horrible Experince

Not only did I wind up paying almost twice what I was quoted but I had a horrible experience and can just hope and pray that we never have to ship another vehicle at all. Don Weaver acted all nice at first but then as time went on and still no word about the shipping of the truck it was harder and harder to get in contact with him. I felt as though he was ignoring my phone calls and I was getting very irritated. I still can't believe it took upping the price that many times to finally find a driver. This only after we "had" a driver that was going to do it for 1100 but he backed out at the last minute and I was NEVER contacted. I thought he was picking up the truck and had to leave several messages with Plaza Auto for them to tell me that driver had truck issues and couldn't do it. I was told that several drivers had were willing to do it for 1200, but when I upped the price, they were no where to be found. I feel as though I was LIED to!

The company that Plaza Auto contracted to get my car here was very unprofessional and was never in contact with me. Not only did it take me leaving several messages with them and with Plaza auto for them to call me back, they held my husband's truck hostage for 10 days, lied about the time frame to deliver, and were over 3 days LATE delivering our vehicle. It took over a month for Plaza Auto to find a shipper and that was after starting the bid at 860, which I was quoted, and upping it over the next few weeks. I wound up paying 1300. Plaza Auto found the company KV Express to ship our car. I hope these people treat other customers better than they did us. We were told our truck would be here by Saturday, Sept. 29, after calling the company that morning, because I STILL had not heard a word from them, they guy said he would be at my house in about 30 minutes to deliver the truck. Three hours later I had to call 4-5 times to get them to pick up the phone only to realize that our truck was still in Chicago. At this point they had possession of the truck for 9 days. I was IRATE as we are a military family on a tight time frame! I talked with the co owner and explained my displeasure and the fact that we are on a tight time frame...asked when the truck would be here and he said Tuesday. Tuesday comes and still no phone call about when the truck will be here, after the co-owner said he would be here by 4 or call me, big surprise that I never received a phone call. I finally get in touch with them and they said it would be past 10 at night before it could be delivered, since I have two small children, this was unacceptable. They then called the next morning at 8:15 and said they would be here in an hour, at 10:30 he finally showed up with our truck on the back of a flat bed tow truck.
