I've done business with some shady companies in the past, and I've worked in sales and even known some shady sales people, but these guys take the cake. I was told that for $775 they could get my car from Pa to Tx. Gina said that pickup would be within 1-4 days. Now I was a little leary about doing business with a broker because of the nature of their business, but I gave it a whirl. I also spoke to a nice man named Russ who owned a transport company in Pa, he was not a broker, and he quoted me $800 and said that he could pick it up in a week. Fine. I went with Polar. Polar didn't come through on the 1-4 days, and they never contacted me. I had to harass them in order to get them to do anything. I had four or more cheduled pickups and at least five promised callbacks and emails that never happened. My car is on it's way down her now. You know who's bringing it? Russ, the guy I contacted two weeks ago. You know what polar negotiated with him? I'm supposed to pay him $1150 on top of the $190 that I paid as a deposit. In the early days of this fiasco I asked Marylin about that "Deposit" and she frankly informed me that it was not a deposit but a brokers fee. If I am expected to pay a brokerage company for two weeks of wasted time so that they could negotiate a higher price wih a driver that already quoted me a price and pickup, that is just ridiculous. Save yourself the headache and run as fast as you can if you see these guys coming. They're the worst!
