After finding a very nice 2008 Cayenne Turbo, I needed to quickly avail myself of a reliable transport service. It had been some time since I shipped a high end car so my previous personal network contacts were out of date. Thus, I was apprehensive, since I am familiar enough with the results of variable quality control in the industry in general. Even dealers, shop owners, etc. may hesitate giving recommendations for this reason. Suffice to say that if one finds oneself in a similar position, do your diligence in checking FMCSA, registrations, insurance, and note the general demeanor and attitude of the Brokers' reps you may speak with. Listen carefully to how they respond to questions about the drivers and methods they use. With enclosed transport in general, you are more likely to encounter more skilled drivers who are more familiar with high end cars and their quirks-for instance, do they know how to deal with proper strapping procedures so as not to damage body work, or deal with drained batteries without damaging sensitive electronics? Does it sound/feel like a "boiler room" operation? Is the rep mature, articulate and willing to spend a reasonable amount of time explaining exactly what will transpire, what the fees/rates are, and will they give out real-time contact info for themselves and their drivers? Do they seem to appreciate an expensive asset? Or do they sound like inarticulate teenagers filling a part time weekend job taking orders ? My experience with Anthony C. of Premier, and their driver Chris of KTES Auto Transport was exceptional in all regards. For individuals I'd had no previous dealings with, the experience felt remarkably pleasant and personable. Anthony did precisely what he said he would do, as did Chris. I had both their contact info, and Chris dealt patiently with an issue at the pickup end. At the delivery, Chris was polite and professional. Amazing to see the Cayenne roll off the transport with no blemishes, and a careful post delivery bill of lading done as well by Chris. Thanks to all concerned, and I would be willing to use and refer both parties again. Hope this helps other nervous Owners.
