STRONG ARMED ROBBERY!

I booked this load with Premier Auto Shippers and paid a $178.99 deposit with the balance of $800 due upon delivery of the vehicle. I later found out that Premier placed this shipment on freight brokering board on line. They listed the move as paying $1,200. When the drivers arrived they demanded I pay them the additional $400. Both of these drivers were Eastern European mafia types that you see in the movies. Chain smoking, shaved heads who spoke broken english. They threatened my life if I didn't give them their money and tried to leave with my vehicle. I called 911 and after a total of 2 hours I was given my vehicle and they were paid $800. Had it not been for me having a copy of the original contract and the efforts of the local police department i don't know what would have happened.

I contact Mike/Premier on the following Monday and he feigned surprise and promised to investigate and get back to me. He never called back and has NOT responded to voicemails or numerous e-mail. I used to work in the trucking industry and i know exactly what happened. They booked the load at a very low rate coming out of Idaho and couldn't get a carrier to take it. So they posted it for $1,200 to get someone to pick it up and figured that i would have no choice but to pay the extra $400.

I literally almost had to fight 2 truck drivers and had to make a 911 call to get my vehicle. My 7 year old child was also present and crying. This was a ridiculous transaction and I will NEVER use this service again. I could have contacted a common car carrier directly but was trying to save some cash. In the end, I did save about $250. I now wish I had just ponied up the money for a reliable carrier in the 1st place.

The driver's didn't even have ANY paperwork. No Bill of Lading. NOTHING! The were several days later and couldn't read a map because they didn't speak English. They got lost and I had to meet them 10 miles from my home.
