Knowingly contracted at a price too little to ship

Received email from Premier offering to ship car for a price I thought was reasonable, so I contacted them to finalize contract. The pickup date was set, and was told there was a 72 hour pickup window, one day before, one day after the pickup date which was fine. After the 1st day of the pickup window passed, I contacted Karl and inquired about when the pickup would happen, he said a driver was assigned but they were running a few days behind and driver would contact me. When a few days lapsed and did not hear anything from Premier, I then called once again and was told that the route had been "Blacked out" and that the rates had doubled for my route, but they would try to accommodate me anyways. After a week of not hearing from them I called back and they said a driver was assigned and he would be contacting me, which never happened. So another day of no contact from Premier I called once more, and was told a refund would be the best method of resolving the issue.

Lee (Owner) said that its not their job to communicate to customers once the driver excepts the work, but after days of no contact from anybody, you would think the customer needs to be told something so they can plan their schedule from work, etc.

It was a month from when I first placed the contract with Premier Auto Shippers to the time we agreed a refund was the only plan of action that was prudent.

After a refund was agreed upon, I contracted with another broker who then contacted me the next day saying that I was still under agreement with Premier, and they could not help me until I was released from Premier. I then once again called Lee at Premier and he said that was false, even though the second broker had a picture of the pickup board to the contrary.

I have moved numerous cars for years, and have never experienced the fiasco of Premier Auto Shippers.

Zero communication, zero customer service, zero professionalism.
