I contracted with Premier Auto Shippers to ship my car from Southern CA to Seattle, WA. I had to make a sudden move to WA due to a family emergency so I chose Premier Auto Shippers as my Company had used them previously. Ben @ Premier Auto Shippers found Rainier Trucking as the carrier for my vehicle. The carrier picked up my vehicle in CA and I met the driver in WA to pick up the car. Upon inspecting my car, I noticed that the ENTIRE driver's side mirror cover was missing. The cover had been on the mirror at the pickup location, so it was clearly something that was lost during transport. The driver told me to write the damage on the inspection sheet and contact the carrier to file a claim. I immediately contacted Ben @ Premier shippers and asked him to provide me with the necessary next steps to file a claim. He gave me the phone number for the carrier. I called the carrier who told me that the driver had marked the mirror as damaged and therefore would not pay for the cover replacement. To be clear, the cover had been on the mirror for 7 years. The cover was NOT broken. I replaced the cover at the local VW which cost around $53. I emailed the receipt to Ben who said they would work to take care of the reimbursement. That was over a month ago, and I still haven't received a response. $53 isn't going to break my bank account. The matter is about principal. There is a reason why the carriers are insured and the brokers are licensed and bonded to broker the deal out. In the end, Rainer should do the moral thing and take care of the damaged part since it was their fault. Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything from either company in weeks so beyond writing this review, not sure what else I can do, except warn any future customers about the way Premier Auto Shippers and Rainier Trucking handles customer service issues. Disappointing.
