I used an online bidding system to solicite bids to transport my recently purchased 1964 Morris Mini from California to Pennsylvania. After being inundated with email bids and phone calls, Don managed to get me at a good time and offered a price I could live with - $750 + $116 broker's fee.

The car was scheduled to be picked up on 3/13 but on 3/14 I received a phone call from the shipping garage saying the car was still there. I contacted Don the next morning and recieved a prompt response the he had contacted the dispatcher who said the truck broke down and the car would be picked up on Monday. That Sat (3/16 I got a call from the truck driver saying he was planning to pick up the car. Ok.

I had some communication difficulties with the dispatch and truck driver with regards to dropping off the car as I work a fair distance from home and cannot drop everything to meet him. But in the end everything worked out and the car arrived safe and sound if a bit dirty from its long journey across the country during the winter.

Would I use them again? Yes, although I was seriously considering flying out and driving back and after this experience I'd be even more inclined to do that if/when I buy another car from the west coast and time allows.
