I got about 10 quotes to move a car from Tennessee to Boston, with a high of $1300 to a low of $525. I was at first a little hesitiant to contact Pricedrite, which was the lowest bidder, because of the idea that you get what you pay for, but called Robin Tanner anyway. She explained the process completely, spent ample time with me on the phone, and was able to accomodate some specific needs, and required no money until a carrier was contracted, so I decided to give it a try. It took three days to find a carrier, and she emailed me complete information regarding the carrier. Everything sounded good, so agreed to the terms and sent PricedRite $100. She contracted with Best West Trans, and gave me the telephone numbers of both the dispatcher and the driver. I called to make sure the information matched, and the rest was easy. The pickup and delivery was 3 days late due to a broken turbocharger on the truck which had to sit in a little town in Tennessee until it was repaired, but both the driver and dispatcher kept me abrest of the progress. My dad was a mechanic for Consolidated Frieghtways for 25 years, so I know that trucks do break down and the repairs do take time, but being able to communicate with the company and driver was great. The delay pushed the delivery into Saturday, and I had told both companies at the beginning that saturday deliveries were unacceptable. The driver accommodated this, and waited at the arrival point for several hours until I could get there. Except for the delay, the arrival was exactly as promised and planned; the car was delivered in perfect condition, although a little dirty (it was an open transport), the driver was professional and friendly, and there was NO attempt to get additional money from me. I paid him $425 in cash at delivery. As far as I am concerned, Pricedrite and Best West both lived up to their promise and I would use them again in a heartbeat. Robin Tanner is the perfect person for doing what she does. Thanks for a job well done.
