I am dealing with a last minute employer-paid relocation from CA to VA and presented 3 quotes to my employer (none of them being Quality Car Move). Of course my employer chose the lowest bid. Needless to say, that was the WRONG decision. When I originally reached out to the other company for the bid, they assured me that they could arrange the transport within my expedited time frame. However, after I paid the deposit for the auto transport, I did not hear from the other company. I emailed and called, but never got a response with respect to when my scheduled pickup would be. Finally, Thursday, August 28th came around and I still did not get a call. My household items were being shipped on Sunday, August 31st and I was getting on a flight on Monday, September 1st. So I needed my car to leave CA by Sunday at the latest.
On early Thursday, August 28th, I woke up at the crack of dawn and I started researching auto transportation companies. I found this website and the reviews for Quality Car Move. What stroke out to me the most was how many people Chris had helped out in last minute situations. I sent him an email around 6am and he IMMEDIATELY called me back. I told him my situation and he assured me that he would get my car on the road by the weekend. He went to work and contacted me several times that morning by phone, which was a pleasant surprise considering that most companies refuse to contact a customer in any other means than email. By 10am on Thursday, August 28th, Chris had arranged an auto transport for my car to be picked up in the evening on Friday, August 29th. On top of that, he had arranged a carrier that would make it to the east coast by Labor Day. I immediately signed a contract with Quality Car Move and cancelled my contract with the other nonresponsive company.
As promised, my car was picked up on the evening of Friday, August 29th. Then the cherry on top is that today is Sunday, August 31st, and I just got a call from dispatch that my car will be in VA tomorrow, September 1st around 10am. Although I'm not there, I have family who will be able to sign for me. This means I do not have to rent a car when I arrive in VA on Tuesday. Although, I won't be there to personally inspect the vehicle to make sure it's still in prime condition, I am trusting that everything is fine.
Overall, I am VERY pleased with Quality Car Move and Chris Davis. He was responsive, encouraging, efficient and true to his word in all respects. I would DEFINITELY use his services again!
