I dealt with Chris and the overall experience with him was good. The vehicle wasn't picked up on the scheduled date but he made it happen the next day. Everything was good with the shipment until the driver called and said it was going to be late when he would be in my area. I wanted to wait till the next morning since it would of been a Sunday and I could be there to receive it. He was pushing very hard to drop it that night. I went ahead with it and he delivered it about 9:45pm. He was in such a hurry that he was mostly done before my girlfriend got there. He told her to sign the paperwork and I would get my copy from Chris. Never did get the bill of lading and after we had a chance to wash it about a week later I found a 9" long scratch on the side of my vehicle. Wasn't there when he picked it up because I called the dealership I bought it from to confirm. Asked Chris about what to do and he said he would call the transporter. I never heard back from him no matter how many times I left messages. I gave up and will just live with the problem. Moral of the story is don't accept your deliveries at night, wash the vehicle the next day after getting it and inspect it for damage. You wouldn't of seen this at night had I gone over it with the driver that's why it needs to be daylight. Don't fall for the same mistake I did.

You are absolutely correct about not taking delivery at night, and in the rare case where you do have to take delivery during after hours, it is very important that you do so in a well lit area, not only for safety issues but also to accurately complete the final inspection with the driver. If this damage had been noted on the bill of lading or inspection form we could have assisted you in filing a claim and you would have received adequate compensation for any and all damages sustained.
