Red Carpet Customer Service Excellent, Transporter Damaged Vehicle

After receiving numerous quotes for transport of my 1974 Land Rover, I opted to engage Red Carpet based on their 5 star rating online. They were middle of the pack in terms of price. When I called Red Carpet, I talked with Cheryl Phiffer; she was excellent to deal with. This was my first time shipping a vehicle and given the older status of the vehicle in question I was very concerned about the process. Cheryl was excellent in walking me through what I needed to do to get the vehicle shipped.

Red Carpet engaged a company called Geo Express, Inc. to transport my vehicle. My experience with the Geo Express was not nearly so good. The driver of the transport managed to drive my vehicle off of the ramp on the transport during the loading process, which resulted in damage that I am now resolving with Geo Express' insurance. IF YOU ARE SHIPPING A VEHICLE I STRONGLLY SUGGEST YOU VIDEO THE ENTIRE LOADING PROCESS AS WELL AS THE VEHICLE BEFORE IT IS I LOADED. THIS WILL MAKE LIFE MUCH EASIER FOR YOU IF YOU DO END UP WITH DAMAGE TO YOUR VEHICLE. To be clear - this was an issue with the transporter and not with Red Carpet or with Cheryl Phiffer.

When I notified Cheryl of the damage to the vehicle she was very responsive and submitted my video to her company's dispatchers so they are aware of my experience and hopefully do not use Geo Express, Inc. in the future for other customers. The fact that Cheryl cc'd me on the e-mail to the dispatchers reinforced my belief that Red Carpet does care about the customers who are using them and (hopefully) are responsive to their customers experiences.

If I ship a vehicle again, I will likely use Red Carpet and I will definitely ask to work with Cheryl Phiffer. With that said, I will never use Geo Express, Inc. again to transport a vehicle.
