After reading online reviews of various transport companies, I was fearful of shipping our daughter’s car from CA to DE. However, our experience with Red Carpet Auto Transport and Felicia was very positive. Felicia was very pleasant and helpful in answering all my questions. She actually had transport arranged within an hour or two of our conversation. She kept me informed and up to date on when the car would be picked up at my home. My initial contact with the actual transport company (which is not Red Carpet) was also very positive and they picked up the car as scheduled—actually offering to pick it up a day early, which was helpful. While the car arrived in perfect condition on the other end, communication was not as forthcoming once the car left my home. Red Carpet Customer Service was very helpful in obtaining an update once I called them, though after that we had to keep calling to get updates from the actual transport company and the delivery date kept changing even after 10 days had passed, making it a little difficult to plan. I was told upfront there were no guarantees on when the car would arrive—just an approximate date, and the actual delivery date was 4 days later than estimated (total time from CA to DE was 12 days), though that was not a big deal in our case. While I’d give my overall experience 4 stars, I give Red Carpet themselves 5 stars and would recommend them. Just be advised not to bank on a guaranteed delivery date…this is just how this industry works. Also, depending on where your delivery location is, don’t assume door to door transport. In our case it was to a shopping center parking lot about 10 minutes from my daughter’s apartment.
