A GREAT experience -- especially after reading of so many horror stories. River City Auto Transport is Jeff and Linda, a husband/wife team that provides exceptional service. They got my business for three reasons; first, great reviews, second, their attitude on the phone, including the way they answered my questions, and third -- are you ready? -- while I was on the phone with them they called and found a transporter who could pick up my car (purchased on Ebay) THAT DAY!!! I had spoken with at least a dozen other transporters and/or brokers, and all others gave me a "usually 1-4 days", or 1-10 day etc window for pickup. (Oh yeah, price was very competitve, not the cheapest, but far from the highest -- another reason!)) The Corvette was picked up that day (Tuesday) in New Jersey, as promised, and delivered only four days later, Saturday. And that was one day late!! (Which was OK with me, I knew in advance the driver had gotten a late start -- he called and told me!) Besides, if I had used another broker and transporter, my car would have still been in NJ! River City gave me great service, great communcation, and we actually developed an email rapport. I feel like way more than "just" a customer. Oh... and they called to check to make sure the car had been delivered, 24 hours after it was supposed to have been. I also have to put in a good word for the transporter, Roadrunner..... BUT WAIT ... there are, I think, 4 transporters using that name. This one is out of Pennsville, NJ, Charlie is the driver. The ONLY one. In other words HE is Roadrunner. The Best. Called regularly to let me know his progress; he was always polite, efficient, and pleasant. My son and I hooked up with Charlie about 9:15 Saturday evening behind a Publix (to make it EZ for him to ingress/egress) …… took about 45 min to unload. Charlie pointed out the chips/scratches he had noted upon pick-up (and had told me about in an earlier conversation,) cleaned the F/R windows (it was pretty dirty, of course) and all in all took real good care of us. I HIGHLY recommend River City, and if they can get you Charlie/RR, use him, too! A post-script -- USE a broker -- you will most likely NOT pay more, and more importantly, they know not only which transporters are good, even more importantly they know which transporters NOT to use!! And River City is THE broker to use!!
