We understand that the owner is very upset that someone removed items from his vehicle after it had been delivered to the dealership. As the owner knew as per our Terms & Conditions, and what he was told during telephone and email conversations, that whatever belongings that he placed in his vehicle were solely his responsibility, and at his own risk.
"(NOTE: The owner is responsible for insuring that none of the following items are in the vehicle during shipment: personal belongings, household items, tires, narcotics, medication, ammunitions, guns, money, articles of unusual value, contraband, negotiable and legal paper, gems or jewelry, objects of art, beer/wine/liquor, optical goods, live plants/animals, flammable goods, etc. If any personal items are left in the vehicle, you will be notified by SVP Auto Shipping, to have it removed before your vehicle will be shipped. If, in certain situations, approval is given for an item(s) to remain in your vehicle, it will not be insured while in transit, and the vehicle owner will be solely responsible for the item(s). The only item that is allowed in the interior of your vehicle is a child seat/booster seat. Also only Emergency kits or booster cables can be placed in the trunk of your vehicle while being shipped.SVP Auto Shipping recommends that aftermarket keyless entry and alarm systems be disabled (if possible) before your vehicle is shipped.)"

Yes, a bit (at your own risk).

Unfortunately, this situation occurred, and as we recommend to everyone, if you want a limited number of personal items in your vehicle while being shipped, place them in the trunk area of your vehicle. As this occurred after the vehicle was dropped off, there is nothing that we can do.
