My husband and I are moving to Germany, he has already gone. We set up shipment of our 2002 BMW 325cI. We got plenty of phone calls and e-mails until we finally gave them a $450 deposit. They quoted us a total of $1825, plus $350 for them to pick the car up from our town. The delivery driver was a day late, and then charged us $50 more than we were quoted. The car was picked up on Oct 1. The car got the port in GA on Oct 2nd....seems ok so far except for the extra $50. Come to find out the cra sat in GA for 2 full weeks (the amount of time we were told for the entire transaction). Today after missing a days work my husband is told that he can not get OUR car from the port in Bremmerhaven Germany, because the payment wasn't made. OK, we worked that out....but come to find out Secure Auto Transport sold our contract to another company that totally ignored us. How is one to pay without an address to pay. I had called Debbie and Miranda dozens of times in the last 10 days with NO reply. In an abvious bind we had to do all of the leg work to figure out who to pay to get our car. I called the BBB in Florida this morning about this obvious lack of business ethics. I don't know what will come of it, but I encourage anyone looking to ship a vehicle to stay as far away from this company as possible. I wish I had found this site before we gave them any money.
