I was trying to ship my Mercedes ML500 from Florida to Anchorage, Alaska. John was professional all the way and answered my questions by phone even before I had agreed to use his company. He also explained the process of how auto transport works and that he would try to get the lowest price using companies that had good ratings and he was comfortable with.
Basically the process works by the Broker posting your car, the origin, destination and a price on the Price Board. Trucking companies will then call and accept, or ignore it if the price is too low, etc. The broker can tweak the price up, until a trucking company accepts the bid. John was upfront with this from the beginning and gave a range of what he thought would be the average cost of transport. So the price started at the low end and was bumped it up once or twice (by $50 each time) but only after he checked with me to let me know what he was doing. Email and phone communications were excellent.
I said I was moving my car from Florida to Alaska, but the review shows only Florida to Seattle, right? John had offered to handle the Seattle to Alaska route as well (by barge), but he suggested I contact the shipping company and I was able to set this up with them directly.
