After having a car delivered by Shaughnessy Overland Express, Inc(SOEINC), there are some things that happened to me that you should be aware of if you choose to do business with them.
Our car was picked up in Florida and delivered to our house in NJ late one night around 10:00pm, what better time to deliver something damaged in hopes of it not being seen. It arrived in an unmarked truck and trailer (not at all what you see on this webpage), and, as it was being unloaded, we noticed it was badly damaged. The driver agreed and documented ALL damages (along with pictures) that occurred during transit. SOEINC owner was notified immediately, and his response was "please take it to where you feel comfortable, and I will write out a check to get it taken care of quickly." Car was towed to a body shop on June 8, 2016, and we are still waiting for things to be taken care of !
Neither the owner, Ryan Shaughnessy, or his insurance company will pay for the damages on the estimate. Ryan is very good at lip service, blaming things on the insurance company, always saying he will call them and straighten things out. Do not believe him, it is just that, lip service. We now have to spend over $3000 out of our pocket to cover the damages he did to our car.
Do not be fooled by all the nice pictures posted here. This company is horrible to do business with. Once they have your money, they are done with you regardless of how badly your car is damaged in transit. THEY WILL NOT PAY FOR DAMAGES! This company lacks integrity, customer service/satisfaction, and fails to accept responsibility for their actions with your property.
Oh, and Ryan, my 89 year old mother thanks you for ruining her car.
