I found Safe Direct Car Shipping through transport reviews and decided to give them a try because their prices were very competitive and the reviews were generally better than the other companies. It was my first time shipping a car ( my beloved hardtop convertible) cross country so I was a little nervous. My car was picked up on time. The carrier sent over 2 men to take pictures and do a thorough inspection of the vehicle inside and outside, noting every slight scratches etc. I was told it would be leaving town the same day it got picked up and delivered within a week by the carrier, which I thought was impossible. I guess each carrier and driver are different in term of what they accept as cargo in the trunk. I had to pay some extra cash to the driver to leave a few items in the car (car vacuum, blankets, and shoes) which was not expected but reasonable because I would have had to pay even more money to snail mail myself these items anyway. My car arrived to town as expected 6 days after pick-up. It was lighting fast transportation and without a scratch, just a lot of dead bugs which are easily washed off. My friends who are using DAS transportation got their cars picked up a week before mine did but are still waiting in a lot in California right now, 2 weeks after, with no definite date of delivery to Canada. I would definitely say my experience as a first time car shipper is a positive one as compared to others. I would highly recommend working with Chris who helped me through the whole process and with Lee's Express the carrier who again is lightning fast!
