Having never shipped a car before, I accidentally signed up online with a centralized broker service to get a quote to move my car across country from California to Florida. Huge mistake. My phone didn't stop ringing for a few days, and I probably received around 20 emails from around 8-10 brokers. I basically left my phone on silent mode for 5 days straight because of all the annoying brokers.

Anyway, these guys were NOT one of the brokers which kept calling, and I somehow stumbled on them from a google search. Having a decent amount of knowledge from all the spam email I received, I realized the most important thing to me was having a company which was rated highly with the BBB, but more importantly, one that had been rated by the BBB for more than a few years. I'm suspicious that many brokers change their legal entity names to start fresh with the BBB once their reviews get bad. Safe-Direct seemed to have a decent amount of history.

Safe-Direct shipping was very efficient and was very meticulous with walking you through the process of shipping a car. They were always courteous and never felt like I was being taken advantage of. They were open and honest, and did a great job keeping me up on the days leading up to my car getting picked up, as well as following up after the car was delivered.

I was suspicious when they said payment to the carrier needs to be with a money order or a cashiers check, but it seems like that is also industry standard after doing another google search. The car came dirty but it was to be expected given that it was going across country in an open carrier. I had no issues at all, and have already referred them to another colleague who's making the same move.
