First of all, I would say that I had a good experience with shipping our car. Safe-Direct Car Shipping was friendly, helpful, and responsive in arranging for the shipping of our car. The car was picked up the day quoted and delivered one day after the initial estimated day. The car arrived in good condition and the items left in the trunk for shipping were still there. All in all, a good experience. Just a few smaller items of note...

I didn't understand until later in the process that Safe-Direct Car Shipping is a broker, not an actual car shipping company. They provided an estimate of what it would cost us to ship the car, but it really depended on whether a shipping company would accept that price. We ended up having to raise the "bid" slightly right before we needed to ship in order to get a company to ship our car.

The actual shipping company (I-5 Auto Transport) was friendly and got our car shipped safely. They weren't the greatest communicators on when they would pick up the car or drop off the car. Initially we were told the car would be picked up on "Friday" and when asked for an approximate time, got a response of "the driver will call you". Same thing happened on the delivery end. I had to call the company a few times to figure out where our car was. In the long run, it was delivered safely and with no problems.

Now that I better understand the system, I know the questions to ask and how to manage shipping a car. I would use Safe-Direct Car Shipping again with this knowledge.
