hired Safe-Direct Car shipping company for shipping my car across the country. Jason was my primary contact person at Safe-Direct and White Hawk Auto LLC was my shipping carrier company.

My car pick up was delayed by 8 days from the first available pick up date quoted by safe-direct. I had to bump up my initial quote by $50 to get my car shipped as it was delayed. When I spoke with Jason regarding this, he told me that they are just brokerage company where nothing is guaranteed. He informed me that carriers look at what cars they're offered to ship and they accept it, based on price and where the car is going. Once I hiked up my quote by $50, carrier company was assigned almost immediately.Overall I was not very pleased with the delay in pick up and hike from initial quote to get my car shipped on time.

I am giving 4 stars only because car was handled by carrier company (White Hawk Auto LLC) very well and in good condition. So my advice is that, before you hire a brokerage car shipping company make sure whether pick up date and the quoted price are guaranteed or not.

Thanks for your feedback, you bring up a really important point about quotes and estimates. No matter how far in advance you place your order, your final price and timing is dependent carrier availability. Your delivery restriction played a part in carrier availability, as storage is not included in transporting. While a better offer can always help, sometimes your timing restrictions don't match up with immediate carrier availability.
