You bring up a really good point about timing that most first-timers don't expect: unlike other service industries, there aren't regular schedules "locked in" weeks ahead. Carrier schedules vary every week and are typically confirmed within a day or two of pick-up (with regular pricing). And cars do arrive dusty after traveling across the entire country!
