I have never shipped a car before but I had heard many horror stories from reading I had done on the internet and from people I knew in person that had done this before. I had a good experience, nothing went wrong. Initially, I was quoted $1,000 to ship a Mercedes from West California to West Georgia; the final out the door price that I paid ended up being $900 instead, $100 fewer dollars than I was expecting to spend. All inquiries, whether by phone call or email, were returned within 20-30 minutes the same day. Ship A Car Direct called me several times before pick up, during transportation and after delivery to check on the status of the process to make sure there were no problems; all conversations were polite and professional.
The driver called me to let me know what day he was coming. He called again on the pickup day to give me a general time of day for pickup, in this case evening. I received a 2nd call which gave me a 1 hour window for the pickup time and a 3rd call when the driver arrived.
The car was picked up Thursday evening and I was told it would be delivered between Tuesday and Thursday of the following week to Georgia; it arrived Tuesday around 5 pm. The car was undamaged and as clean as it was when it was picked up. I do not have anything negative to say about the entire experience.
