Great experience for 1st time car transport!

After looking at about 4 different transport companies I decided on Ship A Car Direct and was very pleased about the whole process. Like many of you reading this, you have some reservations if things will go off without a hitch. When I finally booked my car on-line, Dale at Ship A Car Direct phoned me within the hour and had a carrier available to pick up my car the next day! I was expecting to take 2-3 days, but they had one in CO who was making a run to OH available to deliver my dad's car.
The carrier was nice and even videoed the car so there would be no issues with pre-existing scratches, etc. on the delivered end. I was even more surprised that the driver said it would probably be Monday when the car would be delivered. Remember, there is no set in stone time of when a car will be delivered, just an estimate as the driver has multiple stops along the way (in my case 3) before the delivery of the car. Our car did not get delivered Monday, but did get delivered Tuesday as the driver had some mechanical issues (2 flat tires) en route from his last stop to where my car was being delivered. When I e-mailed Dale at Ship A Car Direct, he promptly contacted the driver and got a response back to me within 30 minutes!! I have to give Dale big kudos for calling me and explaining me the the whole process, the importance of the Bill of Lading, payment options, etc. He was very, very thorough and very available for follow up and questions. My only slight issue is I wished the driver would have phoned my dad at the delivery end that he had a mechanical issue and would be late. But, that is the only "negative" thing I can speak about. However, I am thoroughly satisfied with Ship A Car Direct and would not hesitate to use them again if in the market to ship another vehicle!

Thanks for your honest feedback! Glad it was a good experience overall. You are so right about timing - carriers can only provide projections for arrival, and sometimes their estimates are affected by traffic or other issues.
