This was my first time shipping a car. I started by looking for the lowest prices but began to find out that even if you found an intial low price to ship your car, there sometimes tends to be hidden fees you dont know about until your car is already on its way to your end destination.

Jason from Ship a car direct was my main point of contact. He was very helpful, prompt and knowledgable about everything. He maintained contact via email and phone every step of the way.

My only issue was with the drop off company that picks up and delivered my car. I ended up dropping off my car to get shipped since the truckyard was only a mile away from my pickup destination. The drop-off location was a bit shady and hard to find. I wished the driver or pickup service kept in contact with me during the shipping process so i knew how far along my car was. It was also be a good idea to offer sort of a gps tracking feature to track the exact location of my car. If we can do it with packages, why not with our cars.

My car got to my end destination only a day after the projected 7-10 day ship period. Driver called me the morning before it was to be delivered. It would have been nice to have received a call atleast a day before delivery instead of 8-10 hours before.

Car was delivered with no nicks or damages but it was completely dirty with tons and tons of dead bugs covering the backside of my car.

Overall i would describe my experience as ok. Again this was the first time i ever shipped a car. I would have liked more communication between myself and the driver to keep me as updated as possible.
