Car was shipped from CA to NJ. Started with transportreviews.com and picked Ship A Car Direct due to mid-level price quote from the 18 given to me and general favorable reviews. Turn around from email request to ship to the actual date available to ship was 3 days and although I didn't think I could get a cross country carrier that quickly, Tom surprised me by doing just that.
Alex was the driver from US Empire LLC (PA-based) and was pleasant and on time, meeting me at local public parking lots close to the highway so it would be easier than a residential street hosting a car carrier.
Two minor hiccups with Alex: although car was obtained in Feb and was in brand new condition, he checked on the delivery document "vehicle arrived with normal used car scratches and blemishes" which I did not notice due to my own haste to sign. The second was the original quote was reduced by $50 and Alex did not have that information. When discussing the pick up and giving him a cashiers check I informed him of this and to call his people. He must have as I did not need to discuss it further.
Car was dirty on the exterior, but no blemishes and was delivered on date promised.
Overall I would give 4 out of 5 stars for Toms style of customer service which although completely efficient just wasn't my style and the minor hiccups. In their defense, none of these matters ended up making an impact, but it wasn't perfect. I would still use Tom again and would like to note that I am receiving a $30 dollar rebate, but am not going out of my way to be either positive or negative with this review.
