I had to ship a classic car I bought in Illinois to California. I got a lot of quotes from companies... Ship A Car Direct was right about in the middle of the absurdly low ($850) and absurdly high ($2100) bids. I chose them after researching online, and because I thought the price was fair.

They got a transport company quickly - I confirmed my order a week before my pickup date and the truck was there the following week. It even arrived a day early.

The only issue was that the shipping company, Roan Trucking, tried to drive the car off the truck while it was still hooked up which resulted in a bent tie rod for the steering mechanism. However, the Roan driver was honest and told me upfront. This is the kind of thing I would have discovered later and could have caused a lot of problems. They gave me their information to send a bill to get it fixed.

Tom from Ship A Car was communicative (but not overly annoyingly so) in giving updates and was always available if I needed him.

I've never shipped a car before and heard horror stories, but despite the damage, I cannot complain. The companies were honest, communicative and helpful. The most important thing you should look for in a company when doing business is honestly. If I ship again I will definitely use Ship A Car direct and give Tom a call.
