Ship a Car Direct was very professional and helpful throughout my car-shipping process. I called them during the same week that I needed to ship a car, and within 24 hours they had secured a transport company for me. When it looked like I might need to change ship dates, they were still willing to work with me. Dale responded to phone calls promptly, and was available via email and phone. The shipping company they sent arrived to pick up my car about 20-30 minutes late on the morning of the 30th (in California), which was not a big deal. On the plus side, the car was slated to arrive in New York on the 9th (10 day trip), with the possibility of being 1-2 days early or late. It arrived on the 4th (5 day trip)! This was an unexpected surprise. Reading other reviews, I thought it might be early. But I didn't know it would be that early. The car arrived somewhat dusty/dirty, and it arrived late at night, which made it hard to check for any damage. But when I looked at it in the morning it did not appear to be damaged. I was told that I should probably refrain from putting any items in the trunk, but that if I did put any items, I should not put valuables there. The contents of the trunk didn't seem to have been tampered with. The very-detailed videos they send are also extremely helpful and put my mind at ease (as I left my car with a stranger and hoped to magically see it again in a few days across the country...) as far as the whole process. I do wish I'd received the Bill of Lading video earlier (it arrived on the 6th, after I'd already received my car), but in the end my car arrived in one piece so it wasn't of much consequence. I'd recommend to ship with them, follow their directions (except, it's ok to put a lot of stuff in the trunk if it doesn't weigh much and isn't valuable), clean your car beforehand so that you can check it for damage, take pics of your car, and be ready with a money order or cash several days in advance (of when you anticipate your car will be dropped off).
