1st experience with shipping a car

I was moving from Maryland to Louisiana and had a lot of worry about what to do with my 1996 Chevy Impala SS. I had done a lot of research on shipping your vehicle and did not find very good information. I had also asked other members of my car club if any of them had transported their vehicles and if so, who did they recommend. Almost everyone recommended that I tow it myself. After days of research, I came across Ship A Car Direct and was impressed with the reviews I saw so I decided to contact them.

From the very first correspondence, which was very fast, I felt comfortable allowing them to find a carrier for me. They found a carrier for me within 24 hours and called me with a few recommendations prior to pickup.

My car was assigned to the carrier by the name of Flauzino Transport Inc. Fernando, who was the driver, called me a few hours later with an expected pick up date and said he would call me 1 hour before he arrived, per my request. He showed up, on time, with a passenger who also assisted in the transport. Both of them were very knowledgeable and nice. They asked me if I was meeting the car there or if someone else was, and I advised them someone else was. He explained to me that due to the low hanging trees in New Orleans, he may have to meet them in an open lot. I also explained to him that my new apartment complex was narrow and he may have to deliver it outside of the gate, to which he replied, he would call me as soon as he got close to let me know what the plan was. They went over the condition of the car, made notes about some of the minor chips and dents in the paint and then they loaded it onto their truck.

He arrived, to my surprise, the next day and called me as promised. He said he would not be able to get into my complex so someone would have to meet him outside of the gate. When my friend met him outside of the gate, she noticed that my car had caught the attention of some people in the neighborhood and she didn't feel comfortable leaving the car in the corner store lot until she could pull it in the complex. So I asked her if she could ask one of the drivers of the transport company to pull it just inside the security gate, and they said yes. He drove my car all the way around to the backside of my building and parked it and I was very appreciative. The car was delivered in the same condition that it was picked up in.

I was VERY happy with the service from Ship A Car and Flauzino Transport. They made my first experience with shipping my car a very pleasant one. I would use both again in a heartbeat and I would recommend them to everyone.
