Having never shipped a car before, especially from state to state, I was nervous about the whole process from booking to pickup to delivery. I was not able to book a local, face-to-face company, so I was apprehensive dealing with someone via email and phone. I studied the reviews from the Consumer Affairs website to select a reliable vendor, and solicited quotes. Most vendors did not contact me by phone, but Ship-A-Car-Direct did to provide me with more complete information. Their quote of $1,100 was on par with other ones. My contact person at Ship-A-Car-Direct, Dale, was honest, thorough, and open to questions from the start. He answered every question I had (and some I didn’t even know to ask)! After booking, he kept in touch as we got closer to our car shipment date. It’s not every day you send your car over 1,000 miles with someone you don’t know, but Dale’s advice each step of the way proved correct. He advised taking complete photos of my car in case it got damaged during transport. Jimmy, the actual transport company driver, contacted me efficiently, letting me know when to expect him for pickup and for delivery. The experience went smoothly, and I would select Ship-A-Car-Direct again!
