I am very pleased with the service provided by Ship a Car Direct. They were very helpful in explaining what services they provided and the services provided by the Truck company that would ship my car. I liked the transparency and helpful guidance of Ship-A-Car-Direct. The services were provided during the time period that was agreed to and my car was shipped from SF Bay Area all the way to Miami and made it fine. The trucking company used, Truck USA, did their job and it was ok. Scheduling pickup and delivery had hiccups. Instead of picking up the car on Saturday morning (as agreed originally) they told me that it had to be on Monday morning and I had to be late to work to meet the truck schedule. On the receiving end, I was told to be in Miami on Saturday morning (so I had to fly on Friday) but waited all day until 8:30 PM before car was delivered. The car was driven by about 20 miles by one of the truck drivers (5 miles in CA and 15 miles in Florida (I took photos of my odometer) in order to get the car from the Truck to my house. That was fine since I agreed to let them drive it. In CA, it was just a short distance, while in FL it was 15 miles. I was not worried about the 5 miles in CA which was all slow driving in suburbia, but I wonder how careful they drove my car in FL and how they handled the turnpike tolls. The one thing that really bothered me about Truck USA, is that the truck driver who drove my car, smoked inside it. My car is 14 years old and nobody ever smoked in it. When they delivered, it smelled to cigarette smoke. I let that slide- but I learned my lesson to inform them ahead of time.
