Not Entirely Sure What Value Ship A Car Direct Actually Offers

Ship A Car is a broker that sets you up with an actual auto transport company. The company they set me up with was local to my origin point and one I was aware of prior to contacting Ship A Car. I could have easily set up a transport with this local company myself using their website. Ship A Car states that they only use "reliable" auto transport companies, but there's really no guarantee that that's the case. Their cut was about a third of the total price I paid and I'm not really sure what they did to deserve that. Ship A Car sends you a bunch of automated emails with tips and is available by phone if you need to talk to them, but that's about it. During the course of the transport I only needed to be in touch with the actual shipping company. I think that next time I would do the research myself and contract directly with an auto transporter.
