It was nice to not feel pressured to go with Ship-a-Car Direct. Their booking fee was $250, which was kind of expensive, but they did find a carrier that shipped my car without damage and relatively quickly.
The only reason I gave 4/5 for promptness was because I tried calling Matt at like 8PM on a Sunday or something a few times and I didn't actually talk to him, but I think I still talked to some other customer service person. I thought his response time was reasonable, but not excellent.
It only took a week from pick-up to delivery to get my car from MA to CA.
It was kind of tricky to coordinate the departure of my car because my boyfriend was signing for it. I'm not entirely sure how the departure went, but I know Matt worked pretty hard to make sure that my boyfriend was in contact with the carrier.
The arrival of my car went pretty well. I had originally put San Francisco as the pickup location, but my job is in Foster City, so the carrier was nice enough to go to Foster City and find a place for me to pick up my car. The pick up was a little bit later in the day than the original window, but I think that's reasonable because the location changed.
Because my car was in an open carrier and traveled across the country, it was dirty when I got it. I just took it through a car wash and everything was fine. There was no damage.
