In all honesty, I was deathly afraid and nervous that everything wrong that could happen WILL happen when I decided I needed to ship my car instead of driving it cross country myself. I searched long and hard for the perfect company and I came across Ship A Car Direct where I was contacted by Bruce. Bruce was very easy to talk to about my concerns, he was also very knowledgeable and doesn't promise anything that he couldn't keep. I requested my date a couple of months in advance and after I had paid a small fee Bruce still kept in contact every other week and one time called to make sure his emails were going through. The auto transporter called 2 days ahead before the pick up date but something had came up where I needed the car for another day and they were very accommodating. Pick up date arrived and there weren't any hiccups. Fast forward to 8 days later, I received a text saying he'll arrive the next day, gave me the address to meet up since he drove a semi and couldn't take it into the residential area, said he'll call/text me the next day between 10-12 and 30 min before arrival. (they said they will arrive 7-10 days, so that was a relief they arrived 1 day early). I received the car in one piece and nothing of my belonging were missing since I was able to pack personal items with the car but it had to be 75lbs or less, no biggie. The only thing was that it was dirty. But i figured it would since I did ship it open container and it was driven across the country, so it was nothing. I'm not sure why other reviewers would be mad about that? Simple logic. Anyway, the whole experience was better than expected. Ship A Car Direct always kept in contact with me, they were on top of their work. I'd definitely recommend them to family and friends and I will most likely use there service again once I decide to move back to California.
