Shipment of a Ford Transit Connect from Michigan Copart Yard

Overall very favorable. Initial shipping destination was to be Athens Ohio. After six days of waiting without a bid on this transport I asked Gaby (my contact at Ship a Car Direct) to change the specified destination from Athens Ohio to Columbus Ohio. -Columbus is 70 miles short of Athens but unlike Athens, Columbus is a major transportation hub with more Carriers likely to pick up this job. And yes, within a day the revised bid was picked up. Communication, coordination and vehicle transport was excellent from that point on. When I first called, Gaby was unaware that the Ford Transit Connect I was shipping was a small passenger "wagon" ( as Ford calls it) and not the better know and much larger commercial Ford Transit. Gaby was very patient with me and once the Connect's smaller dimensions were verified, she had no problem getting it approved for listing.
-Unfortunately the week-long wait before a Transporter picked up the bid cost me an extra $160 in storage fees at Copart's yard (where the van sat between auction and pickup). Although I was sent a notice of the initial bid delay, the suggestion of a revised listing to a more attractive destination might have been expected to come from Gaby (or someone else at Ship a Car Direct ) who certainly know the transport business better than an "amateur" like me.
