Having never shipped a car before the process was unnerving given the # of transport brokers that tried to get my business. Chose Ship a Car Direct due to good online reviews. Jennifer was my contact person and did an excellent job of answering my questions. Most of what I appreciated was her help in accepting that a pick -up window needs to be flexible and you have to have a back-up plan for others to be available if you leave for your destination before the car is picked up. She also correctly informed me that my ideal window between Christmas and New Years was often a time truckers take a holiday break. I left Seattle by plane on 12/31 - my car was picked up at my business address in Bellevue Washington on 1/4 and delivered to my home in Arizona the morning of 1/11. Nicolai, the driver for American Eagle Transport the trucking company that took my car was a joy to work with - pick -up was smooth he always answered my calls en route and brought the car to my driveway. Also a very personable and likable guy. Was able to leave some items in the car with no objections from the trucker and they came along safe and sound. I was reticent to have my car shipped but being able to avoid 3-4 days of driving in the winter with the expense involved for gas, lodging and meals made the cost of shipping a push and saved 4 days of my time while my wife and I enjoyed drinks on the plane flying down. Don't regret my decision and would do it again in a heartbeat. I'm sure other brokers are reliable but many of the calls I got sounded like used car salesmen. Not the case with Ship a Car Direct.
