I picked Ship a Direct after checking multiple reviews/ websites for others' experience in shipping their car. I liked their vidoes & FAQs on the shipping process - which is a very helpful resource especially if you have never done it before. I lilked that they were not too pushy (definitely a problem with some of the other guys). Their quote came in at a very competitive rate, compared with the others. Getting the move date confirmed was the most stressful part of the process for me. In hindsight, I think they priced their quote too low to attract any carriers to transport my car. Our car was picked up 5 days after the target date. My shipping cost was increased by $125 from what I was originally quoted - to get a carrier to transport my car. While not too happy about this, I appreciated that Ship a Car Direct was willing to decrease their fee to make this work. Bottomline - even with the higher rate, they came in lower than other carriers. Once the carrier was assigned - the process flowed very smoothly. The car pick-up and drop-offs took place without any problems on the specified date. The car was delivered in 4 days (from CA to IN) as per the carrier's estimated schedule. Despite the delays in pick up - the shipping process was a smooth experience. The website tools were helpful and the communications were timely and appropriate. During the delay in pick up, Jennifer kept us involved in the process and walked us through our options - to get a shipper and complete the move. Overall, I would rate our experience as very good and would certainly use them again in the future.
