I shipped my car from FL to Hawaii and therefore had to deal with 2 companies: Ship-a-car-direct (which dealt with the land portion) AND Matson (which dealt with the over-seas portion). This is why I gave 3 stars as there was much annoyance and confusion having to be in contact with 2 separate companies. I must be clear that John from Ship-a-car-direct was wonderful to work with. He was mostly available and got back in a timely manner if not. He was knowledgable, patient, kind, and helpful. Matson on the other hand is extremely difficult to work with; it was impossible to get ahold of anyone, phone or otherwise, and when I finally found an email address to use, they responded a week later saying I had to contact someone else. There was a lot of confusion and miscommunication throughout the whole process with Matson. An employee for Matson even told me over the phone that they've never worked with a company that required their customer to contact Matson, as usually the company itself deals with the land and overseas portion. But again, working with Ship-a-car-direct for just the land portion was wonderful and I would use them again for JUST that.
