I used Ship a Car Direct in June to ship my compact car from Seattle to Santa Fe. It was a positive experience throughout. John was my broker contact and explained things clearly, returned my calls quickly when I had questions and let me know that there was a 24 hour number available if there were problems communicating with the carrier once my car was enroute. He provided me with a copy of the carriers insurance at my request. He said we could try an estimate of $900 to ship the car. It ended up costing $1,000 since this is what the first carrier wanted in order to take the car. I wasn't surprised. I'd been told there wasn't too much activity going on at this time of the year to bring truckers to the area. Also I didn't want to wait to see if another carrier would accept $900; I wanted my car! Had I been willing to drive to Albuquerque, an hour away it likely would have saved me the $100 (I asked John). The driver/carrier representative (never talked to the driver) was clear communicating around the pickup and drop off points, the timing, and verifying each time. The driver was very professional according to my friend who oversaw the pickup and I concurred at the drop off when I got my car. He was on time, got the car off the trailer quickly & efficiently & handled the paperwork in the same manner. Needless to say I received my car undamaged. I would use Ship a Car Direct again.
