After reading all the horror stories about auto transport online, I definitely wanted to work with a company that I felt secure with. After reading everything on their site, Ship A Car Direct really impressed me with their honesty and all the information they had about how this process works. I understand that there are always going to be bad actors out there, but the chances of me running into one by using Ship A Car Direct was going to be far less than just stepping into the marketplace by myself. Thankfully I was right. My transport called me on the morning of pickup and we were able to safely load everything on the truck. Mind you, this is my baby. Blood, sweat and tears have gone into my classic car and I know she's a temperamental beast - but they took all the information I provided about special treatment (ie needing to disconnect the battery, giving her time to warm up, not slam on the breaks or she will cut out) - and loaded her up. They diligently documented all of her character flaws and sent me a detailed report through the app (which is so amazing!). Two days later, I get a text that they have safely arrived at my destination and would like to arrange drop off. I was not in town yet, but my brother-in-law was able to handle the drop off and review with them - and again, I received a report back through the app. I felt quite confident (and relieved!) that everything arrived safe and sound. The peace of mind that I had with Ship A Car Direct is something that is well worth any extra dollars you may feel that you are paying upfront. Although it was tempting to respond to other transports that said they could do it for less or a discount, I followed the directions not to engage in any competition with the process, because really you are just hurting yourself and driving up the market for your transport. By talking with other family members that have used transport companies too, they ended up paying a high price on the backend of the transaction - so I am quite confident that I made the right decision. I definitely recommend using Ship A Car Direct and be sure to educate yourself on the process with the terrific videos and information on their site.
