Considering this was my very first time shipping a vehicle, I was very nervous going through this process. Naturally, my mind went through all the scenarios where something could go wrong. After doing my due diligence, I arrived at Ship-a-Car Direct and looking back I am glad. Ship-a-Car Direct eased my mind through their promise to put up their own money if one of their courier's damaged my car during transit. They have a helpful app which allows you to take and memorialize photos of your car before and after shipment, which serves as a basis for any claims that may need to be made. Additionally, they were very helpful in educating me on the car shipping industry and its inner-workings, which is far from common knowledge. Overall, great company that took an intimidating process and made it palatable. My reason for not giving Ship-a-Car Direct a perfect score is because there were times in the shipping process where they were out of sync with the courier who was responsible for actually shipping my car. Ship-a-Car Direct scheduled a pick-up window for the courier on a Monday and I ended up waiting all day to have no one show up despite my reaching out to Ship-a-Car Direct to ask what was going on. The following day, the courier reached out to me directly to schedule the pick up and shared that they were not told the car was available for pick up the day prior despite Ship-a-Car Direct telling me that they confirmed with the courier that they would pick up on Monday. A similar "out of sync" incident happened upon delivery as well where Ship-a-Car Direct was a day off in communicating the delivery date, but the second time around I learned my lesson that I needed to talk to the courier directly as opposed to Ship-a-Car Direct. Overall great service to get the job done, but communication needs to be improved.
