We needed to transport our car across the country. Maine to Nevada , where we had been visiting family and could not get home. I read many reviews of transport companies and chose Ship a Car Direct. From the first phone call ( to Scott - who patiently answered my questions on the first and subsequent calls) to the last , the communication was flawless. They have instructional videos on everything from getting your car ready to insurance questions . Friends drove our car to Portland for pickup . There was a moment of concern (due to height of car) as we had forgotten to have them take off the bike rack and they did not have the key.( an accessory which it clearly states one is supposed to remove.!)The driver carefully drove our car on the truck and it was on the way! We received the bill of lading in an email - along with marks where our car had dings or scratches. Our friends downloaded the app which instructed them how to take photos of our car before transport .We received a call from the driver the afternoon before delivery and he delivered exactly on time the next am, right to my son's front door. Ship a Car Direct gives you 24 hour phone numbers to call or text and emails to communicate if needed. I cannnot recommend them highly enough.
