My first time shipping a car, and as it turns out, there is very little that differentiates these services. Went with these guys because the seemed reputable and their initial “quote” was significantly less then I received from others. As it turns out, the “truly is just marketing. They don’t actually price your move until a day or two before the date you list for shipping, and they all use the same system to do that - so really, the price will be the same regardless of who you use. The other two services that gave me preliminary quotes were spot-on to what it actually cost, so I felt a bit duped by the low price I was quoted. That said, these guys did provide a lot of form emails explaining the process, which was helpful, as was their app. While I had specifically requested a top load, the truck I got was actually a flatbed trailer for three cars pulled by a F3 50 super duty, and my delivery was a day delayed because the trailer had a maintenance issue that took a day to fix (BTW, once your order is placed, you’re just dealing with the driver and their dispatcher at that point – ShipACar is out of the picture). The driver was a good guy and was reasonably accommodating. Overall, I would use again, but get a couple of price quotes from others to get a better idea of what it’s gonna actually cost.
